Every year is associated with a particular hero. Even 2017 has titles that have won the hearts of readers as well as the world of political drama. There are titles that were borrowed from previous years and still shone through 2017. Others are so exciting that you would think they come from the future. Here is a look at political thriller books 2017 and the exciting stories that have captured the imagination of literature and drama lovers through the year.

Tom Clancy titled his book Executive Orders. Imagine what would happen in all Capital Hill personalities were wiped out? This is where the book opens with the murder of congressmen, the US president and his cabinet. Jack Ryan is given the difficult task of rebuilding the government yet he also has to think of a looming war. You will literary hear your heart pounding through the pages.

Protect and Defend is written by Vince Flynn exploring the nuclear tussle Iran and Israel engage in and how it draws America into the narrative. Israel completely eliminates the nuclear infrastructure set up by Iran. The leader of Iran thinks that America has a hand and takes aim at US. As the interesting geopolitical narrative unfolds, the president of United States is also faced with personal matters to deal with. How good is he at balancing and what is the outcome? Only this novel can reveal that.

The Lion of Lucerne starts with the kidnap of the president at Utah. During the ordeal, only a single secret service agent survives. The story in public domain is that Middle Eastern terrorists are behind the kidnap. However, the agent does not buy the story and is out to look for the truth. A secret service agent seeks to unravel this mystery and makes surprising revelations in Warriors by Ted Bell. The events are intriguing with a peculiar kind of violence that will also involve POTUS.

There are many other titles to watch including The 14th Colony by Steve Berry and By Order of the President written by W Griffin. The expert combination of characters and plot makes these titles exciting to read. It is also amazing to note the relationships these novels have with the daily lives of American citizenry and their politics.
