The Best Sci Fi Books

By Kerri Stout

The reading culture is one that is shared by so many people from all over the world. This brings about the occurrence of so many genres of literature that aim at satisfying or meeting the various tastes and preferences of a wide variety of readers. One very common genre is known as science fiction and it brings about the writing of some of the best sci fi books out there.

Science fiction has evolved over the years and this makes it hard to describe what it really entails. Some people see it as a type of literature used to tell fantasy stories. These are basically fictional pieces of writing that are brought forward by the imagination of a writer. A writer can tell a tale about almost anything that is out of this world.

The most common way to tell these tales is by using real life events and experiences that people are aware of. This is just one way of doing it and it normally involves less fictional characters and events. A writer uses a world like environment that readers are already familiar with. This is realistic and may later change to be less realistic as one reads on.

The other way to tell the same fictional stories is by taking them to the future in a world that not so many people are familiar with. Using other foreign worlds is also very common and this makes the reading very engaging. This brings about a sub genre of hard core science fiction that is reserved for all those who like going the extra mile.

The stories that are brought forward in many of these books leave readers in suspense and sometimes in devastation. Writers have no restrictions or boundaries to consider when coming up with their pieces of writing. The ungoverned nature of this category of novels contributes to the involvement of really unconventional concepts such as world dominance and destruction.

The speculation of how the future will be is what drives many people to reading these novels. These books tend to give people a wide variety of possibilities of how the near and far future will turn out to be. The future as told by one author of a book is very different to what another author will show in their book.

The possibility of other worlds and galaxies is also a common tale told in the above pieces of literature. Space age novels are quite the read and may engage extra terrestrial beings into the whole narration. This means that one must be prepared to come across aliens and other beings from other planets when one gets hold of such a novel.

Other common features of such novels are the possibility of advanced technology that is depicted in the stories. The near future as predicted by many novelists is seen to be very sophisticated in terms of the level of technology that will exist. This brings about the basis of a wide range of really interesting tales.
