Long Island Advertising: The Best Linkedin Content Engagement Tips

By Rob Sutter

One of the biggest challenges of publishing articles on LinkedIn is getting them read by as many people as possible. Long Island advertising agencies across the board can agree, which is why it's important to know how to get your content seen. Believe it or not, improving engagement in this respect isn't as difficult as it appears. For proof of this, here are a few methods that you can start using as soon as possible.

One of the ways to improve your LinkedIn content engagement is by focusing on a variety of topics. Just because you work in a specific industry doesn't mean that your articles have to be rigid. You can focus on different stories that tie back to your professional life, whether it's a failure you suffered early on, some of your favorite publications, or what have you. Variety is the spice of life, so make it a prominent aspect of your LinkedIn content, too.

Even if you have solid content to publish, this alone won't lead to views and engagement. To ensure results, make note of when your content goes live. If you were to publish an article during an early Monday morning, you may not have as many people reading since it's early in the week and they aren't as attentive. However, if you target the middle of the week for posting, your chances of reaching people will increase.

Finally, stay engaged with your fellow connections. Perhaps the reason why your connections aren't reading your work is that they don't know it exists. One of the ways to correct this is by seeing what they've been up to. If they recently posted status updates or shared articles, leave your thoughts in the form of comments. LinkedIn is a form of social media, after all, so ultimately networking is the name of the game.

It can be difficult to obtain engagement on your LinkedIn content, especially if you've spent ample time working on making it the best that it can be. You shouldn't be discouraged, however, since improvement can be as simple as taking a few small steps. Even the slightest improvement will make a difference. By taking the time to perfect said content and follow tips like the ones covered earlier, you'll be more driven to use LinkedIn as a marketing vehicle in the future.
