Analysis Of A Book On Domestic Violence

By Cathy Mercer

A book on domestic violence is a publication whose main theme in the entire context is based on battering of either of the two spouses within a marriage; be it the man or woman. This implies that it is either the man or the woman who administers the beatings to the spouse. In some cases, even the kids become victims of this cruelty.

Through this piece of writing, which has been known to take a lot of time for publication, all these vices are clearly brought out. At this point, one can establish that the author has a strong link to the subject matter of the manuscript. Either he or she has been a victim of this brutality in the past.

The others can be witnesses. These ones are those who have seen this brutality going on between couples thus; they have first hand information concerning this act. They are neighbors where the couple stays or activists who advocate against this crime and to whom these victims run to for help when it becomes too unbearable. With this in mind, it is much easier for the author to bring out a true picture which the readers can form in their minds when reading the story.

The biggest question on the minds of many is to why they come up with such manuscripts. Some of them are their voices and it is through such means where conviction for this acts will be made and aired out. This is all about raising awareness for a stop to these acts since they are the highest order of inhumanity to subject someone to.

Authors writing about real life experiences and not imagination have a power in their hand to make good use of it. As of such, they end up sharing the entire truth and happenings within marriages. It is a good way of alerting the public to know that such brutality is real in the lives of some people within the world.

When shared, it creates a platform for debate and contribution of solutions which the readers are able to come up with at the end of the reading process. Through this means, it is possible for the author to also offer some of these solutions on dealing with the battering. When these ones are implemented, such cases are bound to reduce significantly.

Others can do so as a form of petitioning the government and human rights activists within their nations to stand firm and assert their authority over the perpetrators of this crime. Sluggish response from these two has been seen as the main reason as to why there are rising cases of this inhuman acts.

As of today, this evil still exists even with all the available measures being in place. It is not permissible for it to be amongst us. The use of a book on domestic violence helps to empower the affected people to stand up and say a big no to this form of brutality.
